Mrs. Koenig
I went to college at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, now Texas State University – San Marcos. I received my bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication – Print Journalism with a minor in Speech Communications. I graduated from there in 2003, Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA. I spent another year completing postgraduate work and earned my Journalism and Communication Applications teaching certifications.
I worked for a year at the Bay City Tribune as a reporter/photographer. I decided that I wanted to join the teaching profession, so I took and passed the test for my English certification.
I began teaching in Palacios in 2005. I was awarded the Region III Secondary Teacher of the Year in 2007, I received a Top 10% Senior Bell in 2008, I was awarded the HEB Excellence in Education Rising Star Award for Secondary Teachers in 2009, I received a Top 10% Senior Bell in 2010 and two additional bells in 2011.
I completed my Master of Education in Administration & Supervision degree at the University of Houston – Victoria and received my Principal certificate in 2008.
