Ms. Kirby

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome our juniors and seniors to join our dual credit program. Any students wishing to enroll into college courses at WCJC are encouraged to stop by my room for information. I will be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have. I realize that the professors/classes are new to you and that in choosing one may be a little overwhelming. I will be more than happy to assist you in this process

Due to the fact that this type of course only has grades reported at the semester by a WCJC professor, we must grade your child using a different criterion for our six weeks grading periods. Your child will be given six weeks grades based on participation in the classroom by their supervising teacher.
The final semester grade that is recorded on the transcript will be the grade that your child earned base on WCJC standards. This grade is what is used when we calculate grade point averages (GPA) and class rank.
The student will begin each six weeks with a 100 average. The 100 will be maintained as long as the student participates in one of the following activities (highest priority is given to first activity listed).
1. Completing or completion of college assignment (this includes work done on non-class days
2. Completing or completion of high school assignment
If student chooses not to participate in one of the activities listed above or disrupts others who are working, a point a day will be deducted daily from total average.
